Beaver Creek is constantly voted one of the top 5 ski resorts in North America and for good reason.  It’s an affordable upscale resort that exudes charm and has a sense of chic, offering an excellent ski-in/ski-out Colorado holiday experience.

The resort has a stylish, pedestrianised centre which makes strolling around the central plaza a real pleasure.  Here you can enjoy the upscale shops and watch fellow guests display their skills on the central ice rink.  The resort offers first class guest services, including heated pavements and an escalator to take you from the village centre to the snow.  There are resort ambassadors everywhere handing out trail maps, sun cream and free energy snacks.

Beaver Creek is the perfect get away for beginners, developing intermediates and those on a family skiing holiday.  The resort prides itself on its extensive grooming policy where 50% of all marked trails are groomed and prepared every day so it won’t be long before you’re effortlessly carving turns on the Colorado corduroy.  There are a number of green runs high up on the mountain which the whole family can enjoy together and for the little ones there are Kids Adventure Zones located around the mountain.

Whilst most of the ski area is perfect for families and intermediates, Beaver Creek also packs a punch with a range of steep and deep runs on Grouse Mountain. The resort plays host to the Men’s Downhill and Super G World Cup races early in the season and if you’re feeling adventurous you could try out the Birds of Prey run.   Don’t be fooled though – it may start off as a gentle blue run but it gets real steep, real quick!

The ski area is deceptively large and has three mountains on the front side – be sure to  head over to Bachelor Gulch for lunch and enjoy relaxing on the terrace of the Ritz Carlton soaking up the Colorado sun.
