Park City Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in the USA with legendary snow and a historic Main Street that you can ski right back to at the end of the day.
Park City Mountain Resort is a massive ski area with over 7,300 acres, 300+ trails, 38 lifts, seven terrain parks, six natural half pipes and one super pipe. The mountain offers superb skiing for every ability. The quality of the snow in Utah is legendary – soft, dry, fluffy and is so good the region trademarked it ‘The Greatest Snow on Earth’.
The ski area has three distinct base areas: the traditional Main Street in the heart of downtown Park City, Park City Mountain Resort base and the Canyons Village.
The Historic Main Street area is a buzzing ski town full of character and charm thanks to its history as a Silver mining town. The Historic town has the sense of being a year round working town rather than purpose-built, making it perfect for apres – you can ski right back into the main street using the skier bridge where you can access plenty of dining options, bars, entertainment and shopping.
The Canyons Village is a purpose built village, just four miles from Park City’s Main Street, and offers a variety of luxurious and convenient accommodation. Many of the amenities here are located within the large hotel complexes. The three base stations are conveniently linked by Park City’s free skier friendly resort shuttle service which runs every 20 minutes, which are a great way to get around.
With direct flights to Salt Lake City and a short transfer from the airport, which is only a 45 minute drive, Park City is one of the easiest mega-resorts in North America to reach from the UK. It’s also the perfect base to experience the rest of the skiing in Utah. Deer Valley is just up the valley and the resorts of Snowbird, Alta, Solitude and Brighton are all within easy reach and are great day trips if you want to explore the region.
