Located in the heart of the majestic Banff National Park, Lake Louise is a truly legendary ski destination. The ski area has some of the most spectacular views you’ll ever ski – that’s why it’s one of Canada’s national treasures.

This is the third largest ski area in Canada (and one of the largest ski mountains in North America). The resort also has one of the longest ski seasons in North America and you can ski here from mid November through to late April. This is a big snow sure ski mountain with spectacular views everywhere you look.
Lake Louise is a great resort for your family ski trip, or for groups of varying abilities. The efficient lift system and unique layout of the trails allows your family or group to ski together all day as there are beginner and intermediate trails leading from the top of every chairlift. This layout allows everyone to ski together higher up on the mountain and to enjoy the jaw dropping views of Victoria Glacier and the Lake.

Lake Louise is the largest of the three resorts covered on the Banff Tri Area Lift Pass. With 4,000 acres to play on this is a world class resort in its own right. With the Tri Area pass you can also ski Sunshine Village and Mount Norquay, giving you access to over 8,000 acres.
Lake Louise is the furthest of the ski areas from Banff, which is accessible by shuttle bus which takes about 45 minutes each way.
If you want to stay closer to this amazing ski area, then there are a number of hotels nestled next to the Lake, the most iconic of which is the 5* Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. If you want to relax and enjoy stunning scenery then this is the place to stay. The views of the frozen lake and the glacier from the hotel are stunning.
If you’re looking for a more vibrant nightlife, consider staying in Banff.

With three ski areas to choose from, Lake Louise, Sunshine Village and Mount Norquay, all on the same lift pass and an efficient shuttle service to get you to each ski area and Banff, your biggest decision each morning will be to decide which mountain to go and explore.
