Jackson Hole has some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the USA. This is an iconic ski resort famous for big mountain skiing and has one of the longest vertical descents in the States. It also enjoys abundant snow each season with an enviable snow record typically averaging over 450 inches each season.
This is a legendary resort with a big name reputation for steep and deep terrain – a reputation that is well deserved with 50% of the ski area best suited to advanced and expert skiers and riders. The iconic Jackson Hole aerial tram takes you to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain where you’ll find the most challenging terrain, including the legendary Corbert’s Couloir. From the top of Rendezvous Mountain there is over 4,100ft of skiing vertical taking you back to the village, mostly on black trails.

The resort trades on its reputation as ‘The Big One’ and promotes the area as a resort every expert skier should visit at least once as a rite of passage.
In recent years, the resort has also invested in improving the ski experience for intermediates. Apres Vous mountain, the gentler of the two peaks at Jackson Hole, is now better served with high speed lifts and there is more grooming of trails here than before.
Intermediates can find some good intermediate trails on the front face of Apres Vous which offer amazing views of the valley below. Blue trails are also accessible from the top of the Bridger Gondola, the longest of which gives 2,700 vertical feet of descent! These runs give you a taste of big mountain skiing – but to really get the most from the resort you need to be an advanced intermediate or expert to enjoy the whole ski area.

Jackson Hole has two vibrant villages; Teton Village which offers slopeside convenience and a range of exceptional accommodation options and downtown Jackson which is 12 miles away.
The cowboy town of Jackson is steeped in western frontier heritage and is easily accessible using the regular resort shuttle which takes about 20 minutes. In Jackson you can find a mix of saloon bars and modern restaurants. The most famous saloon bar is the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, where you can sit at the bar on saddles. Or you can check out the Silver Dollar bar, which gets its name from the silver dollars inlaid into the bar.

Jackson Hole is a unique ski destination with world-class skiing. If you want to maximise your ski time then stay in Teton Village, a modern convenient slopeside village. If you’re looking to experience an authentic western ski town that’s steeped in frontier heritage then stay in downtown Jackson.
We offer a range of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels and condominiums in both Teton Village and downtown Jackson. Check out our featured Teton Village hotel which offers the ultimate in ski-in slopeside convenience:
