Steamboat is one of Colorado’s biggest ski areas. The ski village base is a thoroughly modern, car free village that sits under one of North America’s biggest ski mountains.
The resort has a great snow record enjoying over 300 inches of powder snow every season. This is one of the best places in Colorado to ski powder. The snow is so light, fluffy and dry that the Colorado ski resort trademarked the name ‘Champagne Powder’.
With 3000 acres of terrain, six mountain peaks offering miles of intermediate runs, a fantastic ski school and some of the best powder and tree skiing in Colorado this is a ‘must ski’ Colorado resort.
The resort is a great destination for families and has developed one of the best family programs in Colorado, which includes:
- Kids 12 and under ski for Free (when parents buy a 5 day or more lift pass)
- Kids rent free
- A dedicated kids only ski and snowboard zone – Rough Rider Basin
Whilst the ski village offers slope-side convenience, the town of Steamboat Springs sits 4km away from the ski base. This is a real ranching town where you can enjoy western hospitality steeped in tradition, an abundance of shops, 60 restaurants and over twenty bars and nightclubs.
Our accommodation options are all located in the ski base Village, but you can easily reach the town in ten minutes using the free regular bus services. The resort is also twinned with Winter Park and shares the same lift pass – which makes it a great choice for a twin centre ski holiday.
We offer a range of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels and condominiums in Steamboat. Check out Steamboat’s flagship slopeside hotel, located just steps away from the Silver Bullet Gondola, ski slopes and ski school.
