Snowcat skiing in a small group under the watchful eye of experienced safety conscious guides is one of the best days you can ever have on snow!

Unlike heli-skiing, the snowcat can operate in all weather, so once you’re booked you know you can look forward to the best powder day ever. Typically, one day excursions will let you ski between 10,000 and 12,000 vertical feet and you’ll be making fresh powder turns all day!
Our featured operators are some of the most experienced in the industry and offer single day backcountry excursions that will best suit confident intermediates through to advanced skiers. You don’t need to be an expert to go snowcat skiing, as fat skis (that help you float through the snow) are available to rent locally and the guides will select the most appropriate terrain for your group.

Fernie Wilderness Adventures is located close to the ski resort of Fernie. FWA run single day excursions into the backcountry and have over 5,000 acres of terrain with every type of slope you could possibly want to ski, ranging from ridges to gladed meadows. At 7,150ft they also enjoy plenty of fresh powder days.
Your group will be no larger than 12 skiers supported by two experienced guides. Guests should be strong intermediates. On a typical day you can expect 8 runs skiing about 10,000 vertical feet during the day. Your excursion will consist of a full day of cat skiing in a heated cat. Avalanche transceivers are provided. Lunch is also included and served in the cat on snow days and outside on bluebird days. Fat ski rentals are available. Skiable terrain will be selected by your guides and will depend on weather conditions, group ability and group safety. Transportation between the alpine resort of Fernie and the Lodge at Fernie Wilderness Adventures is also available.

Revelstoke ski resort is the only ski resort in North America that has lift served skiing, snowcat skiing, heli-skiing and backcountry skiing all from the one village base.
Get picked up at the Hillcrest Hotel or Sutton Place Hotel at 7:30am by the shuttle which takes you to the Cat Ski base area in 45 minutes. The terrain is awesome, offering 33,000 acres to explore and 50 foot of annual snow each season!
Lunch, snacks and drinks are provided on the Cat and are a great way to refuel on the way back up for your next run.
Transceivers, Shovel, Probe, Radio and Backpacks are provided. You can use bring and use your own safety gear, but you are required to use the transceivers provided. Fat skis and boards are available to rent in the resort the night before your excursion.

Powder Mountain Catskiing is the premiere snow cat operator in Whistler and have over 4,000 acres and 5 peaks of snowsure terrain to explore. A typical excursion includes a full day cat skiing consisting of 6-10 runs clocking up over 7,000 vertical feet of skiing. The excursion is best suited to advanced skiers. The base lodge is located 20 minutes away from the resort of Whistler and transport to the lodge is available. Fat skis are available to rent in the resort. Avalanche transceivers and safety briefings are provided.
Your group will consist of 12 skiers and 2 photographers, supported by 2 experienced backcountry guides. The photographers chronicle your day. At the end of the excursion your group will enjoy apres snacks and a slideshow presentation of the days events. For a small extra fee you can take away a personalised slideshow of your snowcat adventure.

Steamboat Powdercats run single day excursions into the Colorado backcountry and are located just 25 minutes from downtown Steamboat. Steamboat is renowned for its champagne powder and this a great place to try snowcat skiing for the first time.
Your group will consist of skiers of the same ability supported by 3 guides. Excursions are suitable for first time backcountry skiers who are confident intermediates through to advanced skiers and powder veterans. Guests are picked up at their lodgings by the complimentary shuttle and driven out to the Steamboat Powdercats office. You can expect to ski 8 – 16 runs averaging around 11,000 vertical feet. Photos of your day are available at the apres party and can be purchased online for a small additional fee. Breakfast and Lunch is provided. Complimentary powder skis are included. Just leave your boots the night before and the base team will set up your equipment. Avalanche transceivers are included and a safety briefing is provided.
