Revelstoke in one of the newest ski resorts in British Columbia and was voted Best Canadian Ski Resort in the 2016 World Ski Awards.

The resort has fantastic skiing for all abilities with 3,121 acres of fall line skiing, two high alpine bowls, and 65 named runs, including legendary glades and phenomenal groomers. The resort also has the most vertical in North America with 5,260ft of lift accessed terrain and has one of the best snowfall records in Canada.

The resort has a step by step development plan which will see Revelstoke become one of the largest ski resorts in North America. As part of this development plan Revelstoke has announced the introduction of a new chairlift and seven new runs, which will be ready for the 19/20 ski season.

The new Quad Chair will be positioned in an area between the Revelation Gondola and the Ripper connector. The new chairlift, which will be called the Stellar Chair, will provide a direct link to the Ripper area from the top of the Gondola. The new chair will make it easier for intermediates to access the Ripper zone without having to go to the upper mountain on the Stoke chair and will create a beginner friendly area that will increase the number of green runs available to learners in the mid-mountain area.

The introduction of the new chairlift will support the development of seven new runs that will create a learner friendly zone. The resort plans to introduce 4 new green runs and 3 new blue runs all accessed from the new chairlift which will make the area perfect for progressive skiers and riders to develop their technique on before tackling some of the bigger terrain that Revelstoke is renowned for.

The resort also intends to increase capacity on the Revelation Gondola for next season.  The Gondola’s capacity was previously increased in the 2017/18 season with the addition of 24 cabins.

For the 19/20 season the Gondola will operate at full capacity with the addition of another 22 cabins.  When they are installed, the new cabins will increase uplift capacity by a further 20% moving skiers from the village to the mid mountain, where you will be able access the new intermediate and beginner runs that are being created.
