Panorama ski resort in British Columbia, Canada just got bigger and better!

The resort has just opened up 128 acres of ‘monstrous’ expert only terrain, which includes an exhilarating 6.5km double black diamond run aptly called ”The Monster’. The Monster is one of four new runs in the jaw dropping Taynton Bowl.  The resort already had one the longest vertical in North America and the opening of the new terrain provides experts with longer, steeper runs to enjoy.

Panorama ski resort enjoys a fantastic reputation for being one of the best resorts in North America for families and intermediates who love the wide, uncrowded slopes.  The opening up of the new terrain ensures that the more advanced skiers in the family now have a bigger adrenaline pumping playground to explore.

Previously, this area was only accessible to backcountry skiers.  This year the Bowl is officially within bounds, so the slopes are patrolled, and no backcountry gear is needed to enjoy these runs which were previously only available to heli-skiers.  The runs are long, steep and exhilarating and the area is a great place to enjoy powder turns after a storm rolls through.

The new area is the perfect place to test your skills before trying out a day of heli-skiing with RK Heliski, who operate right out of the resort!!

Panorama was named North American Resort of the Year 2016 in the World Snow Awards and the expansion of the resort now makes Panorama one of the largest ski areas in Canada.

The opening of the new terrain is just the first phase of a 500 acre expansion planned  for the resort over the next few years.
